In honour of our parents, Andy Carpenter and Ruth Ormsby, Anika Carpenter and I are raising money for Cruse Bereavement Support - a charity which has helped both of us. Issue Nine of Neither Fish Nor Foul will be themed around the work of an artist chosen by Anika and explored in a special fund-raising Art & Flash workshop on 7 December 2026. Details can be found at https://www.justgiving.com/page/art-and-flash

Submissions are not limited to workshop attendees but will need to be inspired by the art featured in the workshop - details of which will be available here on 8th December 2026 when the submission window will open in the usual fashion on Duotrope. All Issue Nine tip jar donations will also be donated to Cruse.
